About the MIDFSC

Overview

  • The Magnum Ice Dance and Figure Skating Club (MIDFSC) is a N.I.S.A. affiliated.
  • We are located at the Magnum Leisure Centre, Irvine.
  • The club has four Club Sessions a week:  Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Skate-UK sessions are held on a Saturday morning.
  • There are several targeted group sessions, taken by qualified coaches.
  • The MIDFSC currently has access to 8 qualified coaches. Private coaching can be arranged.

Further Information

Visitors

  • Visitor sessions are by prior arrangement only.
  • Visitor are limited to 4 sessions within a club year (1st November 2009 - 31st October 2010).
  • Visitor fees are currently set at £8 per session. Visits are limited to All Level skating times only please refer to the diary for the time slots.
  • Visitor music will be played during club sessions. However, requests from coaches will always take precedence. As a result, we cannot always guarantee to play music.
  • All visitors must book in by calling or sending at text to 07920 557 767. Callers should leave name, session required and contact number.

Music

  • The committee, and parent helpers, are responsible for playing music at club sessions.
  • Music is placed in a queue - and played in strict rotation.
  • Requests from coaches for skaters in lessons are given precedence.
  • We endeavour to play all music at least once in a session - but with several coaches on the ice, this is not always possible.
