Become a Friend of the Woodroad

The Forum are looking for people who are supportive of the cause. People who every one or two months will meet with the core group and give some valuable input to the project, thus enabling them to act as feedback to friends and relatives and other valued members of the community.

Some people are very sceptical and think the council are sitting back and neglecting this park or that they should be doing something. The Council are fully supportive of this venture. Where the Council budget would not be able to finance a large scale park, the group can fundraise and tap into funds otherwise not available.

If an approved contractor is used then the council can adopt the maintenance , thus saving the group thousands of pounds per year. Working in partnership with the Council can only be a benefit to Cumnock as a whole.

We do not wish this venture to fail and hope that residents realise that it is vital that support is maintained.
