The logo was designed by Reece Dillon, former pupil of Logan Primary, in the 2008 Woodroad Logo Competition. Over 300 entries were received from the schools within Cumnock.

The Launch of Phase 1 - 19th July 2008

The Toddler/Junior Play Park

On a wonderful but rainy Saturday on the 19^th July 2008, the play park was officially opened.

Despite the weather, the day was a great success. Residents from Cumnock and surrounding areas turned out to support the group's annual charity event and to see the launch of the new play park.

Reece Dillon, the logo Winner, and runner up Euan Bell along with Cathy Jamieson, officially opened the park. Both children were presented with a trophy and a small token of thanks for their participation in the project. Special thanks to both Cathy Jamieson and Adam Ingram MSPs who cleared their diaries to attend the event.

A huge thank you must go to the Minerals Trust who believed in the passion and drive of the Group and believed enough in this project to be our biggest financial supporter in Year 1.

So to all at the Minerals Trust - Very many thanks indeed.

Special thanks must go to East Ayrshire Council, their Elected Members and in particular Outdoor Amenities who have supported and worked alongside the group to make this happen.
