Phase 5 - The Building

Phase 5 is the building. In light of the costs of renovating the old building, the group plan to demolish this and do a complete new build.

We have discussed the building with both the leader of the council and the chief executive and like many; they are keen to support us in progressing this project. We have already spoken with architects regarding the building and it is our intention to meet with elected members and stakeholders in the near future for their input and advice to this project. It is hoped the building will house and indoor play area, cafe, meeting rooms, medical room, ranger’s office and a shop. A crèche will also be housed within the building and we have already received information from interested parties who would be interested in running both the crèche and the cafe.

As a group, we believe that we have delivered a great deal in just over two years and we are committed to this project on a long term basis. The final stage is a long term sustainable project which will help in the regeneration process of the Park and the Town Centre as a whole. The project will also offer jobs in the future and we hope to source as much of the work as possible locally in order to assist in the financial sustainability of the area.

The Building

A DDA compliant building which will host:

  • Reception Area
  • Coffee shop
  • Small shop
  • Soft play
  • Kitchen, storage
  • Toilets to include disabled and baby changing
  • Self contained creche facility
  • Behind the Reception are stairs and a lift to the Upper floor

The upper floor will host:

  • Private Meeting Rooms and office space suitable for hire facility
  • Fully equipped first aid room
  • Toilets to included disabled and baby changing
  • Storage areas
  • Kitchen and Bar Facility
  • Games Area/Function Suite
